Leson 4 - Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love ME!

Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Love Me
Today we:
Read:  Matthew 18:5
Sang:   I Feel My Savior’s Love
Heard:  a story about how Jesus loves children
Ate:  bananas, strawberries, and Goldfish.
Helped:  with a flannel board story about Jesus blessing the children
Looked:  in a mirror and said ‘Heavenly Father Loves me’
Fingerplay:
Heavenly Father knows me (point to self)
And what I like to do.
He knows my name and where I live. (put fingertips together to
form a housetop)
I know He loves me, too. (hug self)
Came home with a necklace that says “Jesus Loves Me” (in the nursery manual), a questionnaire about ME, and a cakepop that says “Heavenly Father Loves Me”.

We bought mirrors at the dollar store so they could all hold one, but you could pass one around.  We talked about how Heavenly Father always loves us.  We had each child look in the mirror and say 'Heavenly Father loves ME!'  We will do this for about three weeks and then decorate the mirrors for them to take home.

We do cake pops on the weeks before a child's birthday so they take something small home with a card.

Questionnaire:

Please help us get to know your little one better by answering some questions, and returning this form to Sister Mason.

  1. I know this is an older post, but I will ask anyway. I noticed the manual says you can repeat lessons, so with the mirror thing did you repeat the whole lesson (or variations) for 3 weeks?
